In his current role as senior vice president of operations for Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI), Robert Thome oversees all commercial and public infrastructure construction projects across the company. Prior to his executive leadership role as a business core leader at CEI, Thome oversaw Silicon Valley-based commercial projects and also served as division manager of Cupertino’s commercial division in San Francisco.
With nearly three decades of industry experience in roles ranging from electrician to president, Thome has a strong moral compass and a history of establishing and maintaining long-term customer relationships. Since 2010, Thome’s leadership and project team development at CEI has generated more than $3.5 billion in revenue for the company. He has created and implemented a growth strategy within CEI’s commercial core creating vertical market specialization, the addition of public infrastructure market verticals, and a construction services group which supports project teams to proactively execute complex books of work.
Thome holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas, Austin, and has completed a series of construction management, leadership, and project management professional (PMP) courses offered by the University of California, Berkeley, and Chabot College in Northern California.
