Technology Evaluation Laboratory
CEI's Technology Evaluation Laboratory
Before “chip” was synonymous with semiconductors, we were building fabrication plants. Before smart phones and smart users existed, we were designing data centers. Before “green” meant sustainable, we were building rooftop solar systems in Silicon Valley.
Today, we’re exploring new technologies and methods to give solar customers the best solutions at the best price. Our new Technology Evaluation Laboratory in San Jose, California enables us to evaluate the performance of a variety of solar and optimization technologies, including crystalline silicon, Cd Tl and CIGS. Because of Cupertino Electric’s vendor-neutral stance, we can take advantage of the latest and greatest technology to offer the lowest, most competitive price for each project.
All of the technologies featured at our headquarters-based lab are modeled and monitored through Cupertino Electric’s custom-built asset management platform.
In addition to technology evaluation and monitoring, we at Cupertino Electric are also testing various racking and installation-related products for durability, ease of installation and compatibility in a setting that mimics real-life jobsite conditions.
Realized Savings
After installing the Technology Evaluation Lab at its headquarters, Cupertino Electric will save between $25,000 to $30,000 per year in utility costs, in addition to helping offset greenhouse gases.
