Project Summary

This CEI public works project was built over approximately two-acres, consisting of two separate structures. A five-story parking structure and five-story office building were delivered for the Los Angeles County Social Services Departments: Probation, Social Services, Child Support, Health Services, Public Health, Mental Health and Children and Family Services. The main floor of the five-story structure included an interview hall, 11 private interview rooms, three training rooms, a pharmacy, and four conference/multi-purpose rooms. Floors two through five of the building house additional county staff members.

There is also a five-story parking structure containing two floors of underground and three floors of above-ground parking. The project site spans more than two acres in size, and wraps around an existing county medical facility. Cupertino Electric installed the electrical and IT infrastructure, along with security, AV and fire alarm systems, and brought Los Angeles Department of Water and Power service to the project. The project is valued at roughly $9,200,000 worth of electrical work and was completed in 2016.

The facility received LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, and the Design-Build Institute of American (DBIA) awarded the facility with both the Regional Excellence and Design Excellence awards.
