Adelanto Processing Center, West

This Design/Build, 189,016 square-foot, single-story 700-bed correctional facility on roughly 50 acres was built with precast concrete cells in its housing and segregated housing areas. The project includes the following features: courtrooms, a legal processing area, intake area, and a complete medical examination and procedure area. This project consisted of a full smoke control system in the housing areas, a 100 kilowatt (kW) rooftop mounted photovoltaic (PV) system and a 1250 kilowatt (kW) generator. CEI also provided raceways for the security and telephone/data systems. This fast-track facility was completed within twelve (12) months.
