Project Summary

At the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) in Fremont, California, Cupertino Electric designed and built a new outpatient surgery center and three-story parking structure project. The new ambulatory surgery center is now used for same-day patient procedures. The 20,400 square-foot center has four operating rooms, 18 pre-op and post-op bays, two endoscopy suites, five post-anesthesia care unit recovery bays, 30 patient recovery rooms, a pathology lab, and a gastro-intestinal (G.I.) work room. Cupertino Electric also installed the fire alarm wiring and devices.

The medical center and parking garage qwere built using the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) method. In an IPD project all of the contractors act as one team. The real advantage of IPD is that the whole team works together cooperatively, the entire team is on the same page – including the customer.
