At CEI, we’re always looking ahead: anticipating trends and adapting to drive our marketing and engagement efforts. Recent data shows that Generation Z is increasingly interested in a career in the trades, so we're implementing a new "influencer" program to capitalize on this trend and reach a new audience.
Starting today, April 1st, CEI will begin deploying social media influencers to jobsites across the country. Their mission will be to:
- Livestream Point of View (POV) experiences from the field
- Highlight and promote our safety culture using newer terms like “cooked” and “chopped” to describe incident types
- Translate electrical construction terms into modern slang for job-seekers
- Build meaningful (and monetized) partnerships with construction brands and YouTube channels
- Connect with younger audiences on TikTok using a “dance-a-day” strategy
This initiative is more than social media. It's about telling the CEI story in a way that resonates with the next generation, supports our growth and strengthens our reputation as a forward-thinking leader in the electrical construction industry. As a next step, we will be asking all employees with a device to like and subscribe to our influencer channels: @construction_girlie67 and @gotyou_aprilfools.
We’re excited about this new program and hope to roll it out more widely in the future.
Thanks for liking, subscribing and following this important program!
