Cupertino Electric Earns Top Safety Awards, Tops Industry Lists

Electrical Firm Earns PG&E "Safety Supplier of the Year" Award and Third Consecutive "Safety Award of Excellence" from AGC of California

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Construction and engineering firm Cupertino Electric, Inc. today announced that it has won the "2013 Safety Supplier of the Year" award from Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for the safe, successful completion of two utility-scale, solar projects earlier this year totaling 30 megawatts (MW). In addition, the company was awarded the "Safety Award of Excellence" from the Associated General Contractors of California for the third consecutive year in a Southern California ceremony on Friday, November 1, 2013.

PG&E's Supply Chain organization announced the winners of its annual awards at a ceremony Monday, October 28, 2013, in San Ramon, California. Cupertino Electric was recognized with the safety-focused award based on the company's demonstrated leadership in helping PG&E deliver safe, reliable and affordable gas and utility service to customers.

About the AGC of California "Safety Awards of Excellence"For the third consecutive year, Cupertino Electric has been awarded the "Safety Awards of Excellence" by the Associated General Contractors of California in the category reserved for specialty contractors working more than 1 million hours in 2012. "Safety Awards of Excellence" honorees are judged on their management commitment to safety, occupational health management, risk control, employee participation, safety training, jobsite hazard identification control and safety program innovation.
