Only Specialty Contractor Awarded Top Corporate Philanthropist Status in 2011
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — July 21, 2011 — Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) (www.cei.com) today announced that the national engineering and construction services company was named a top corporate philanthropist in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times. CEI was additionally honored with a Community Commitment Award given to companies that donate more than one percent of their annual profit to charitable organizations. The 2011 Corporate Philanthropy Awards were announced Wednesday, July 20, at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.

The San Francisco Business Times' 2011 Corporate Philanthropy Awards rankings are based on total cash contributions to local non-profit organizations in 2010. The listed companies donated an aggregate of $248 million in 2010, an increase of $78 million over the previous year. A company with approximately 250 office and 850 field employees in the Bay Area, CEI ranks No. 61 and joins leading companies such as Chevron Corp., Google, Inc., Cisco Systems and Intel Corp.
